PLAYING GOLF IN WINDY CONDITIONS
Control of your golf swing and ball is imperative when playing in windy conditions. Use the following tips to help you hit more greens
INTO WIND
Swing easy and chose 1-3 clubs more than usual, how many more will depend on wind strength. Hitting your ball like this will reduce its spin rate and so keep it from ballooning in the air.
WIND LEFT TO RIGHT
Swing easy and take an extra club, aim to the right hand side of the green and play a draw shot (for left handed golfers play a fade shot)
WIND RIGHT TO LEFT
Swing easy and take an extra club, aim to the left hand side of the green and play a fade shot (for left handed golfers play a draw shot)
DOWN WIND
Chose 1-2 clubs less, how many less will depend on wind strength. Hit the ball as normal
