HYBRID/5 WOOD CHIP SHOT

Ever wondered how the pros get out of those tricky lies?

Want to learn a new way of playing a chip shot?

Struggling with distance control for your chip and runs?

Worried about the “Fat” or “Thin” chip shot?

Most golfers when they think about the short game automatically reach for the pitching wedge or utility wedge.

Next time you are just off the green have a think about using your Hybrid/5 Wood, the design of the club will make it easy to get the ball out of all lies and run like a putt.

The extra weight and longer shaft length of a hybrid allow you to make a smooth, short stroke and still create a lot of distance. The rounded sole should calm any fears you may have about hitting the shot fat or thin.

Set Up - Grip down on the shaft, have your feet close together and place the ball centrally in your stance.

Stroke - Use your putting action to achieve the desired result.

If your ball is just off the green and buried in the rough, the hybrid WILL get the ball out of the lie and get the ball running, this is an easier shot than the delicate chip with the wedge and will work every time.

Practice this shot next time you play and I promise you won’t be disappointed!!

If it’s good enough for Tiger its good enough for you!

Enjoy
